Three days in beautiful Malta. In a lovely hotel, with a huge balcony overlooking the sea (and a casino). On the first day I said something dutifully flippant like how we were mostly lucky with our vacations. As I was saying this, we ended up waiting for an hour for our dinner to show up. The next day, while hopping near the sea – Sri sprained his ankle. But despite all this – Malta was a real break for us. We didn’t go near anything with an internet connection, ate too much pasta, and were dazzled by the brilliant blue of the Mediterranean Sea. We came back home at an unearthly 2 AM and woke up wishing we had this lovely sunrise to gape at. More on Malta in the days to come…

ooooo nice!
On my end, I can’t wait to go watch the sunset. 24 hours to go. Happy Holidays :)
Malta — wow! Until a year ago, I didn’t even know such a place existed.
Great pic! We all need respite from internet sometimes. Waiting for more pics.
Looks lovely!
Beautiful.
Whatever happened, you surely needed the break and enjoyed it – in the end, thats all that matters :)
rads: Here I am .. back in the greyness that is London. And you’re talking of sun! sigh!
Jace: Lovely and very small place. Beautiful!
Rezwan: The respite from the internet was surprisingly easy. Except the part when you come back and find your inbox full to the brim. :) Pics on flickr!
prasoon: It was extremely enjoyable. But next time I keep my trap shut about having a lucky streak with holidays.
