There’s something to be said about mascara. I am sure that discreet application does make the eyelash look fetchingly fluttery. But for some reason, there seems to be a growing obsession on making it so long and and “wide-spread” that it is almost scary. I mean it’s not even about fake lashes. But how much more technology can be pumped into your mascara anyway. So when L’Oreal launched their Telescopic Mascara – I watched in faint horror and perversion, as Penélope Cruz’s lashes seem to gain a life and will of their own.
I mean – how long? Seriously? Half inch? No? One inch? More!?!

One inch long eyelashes! Horror of horrors! Imagine – like the protruding canines have come to symbolize vamipirish charms – the eyelashes may find a similar standing in the annals of popular horror fiction :D
