The winter in this city so far has been rather moody. It wasn’t half as cold as the previous year. But over the last one week, the wind’s bite has gotten sharper. We woke up today to see a layer of white snow over the city. Two centimeters of snow, and there are severe delays on the London Underground. For a weekday, it’s rather quiet outside today.
Nosing around at the BBC weather reports, I chanced upon the Big Freeze in London in 1963. There’s a gallery of wonderful photographs – as the city seemed to be drowned in snow and the Thames froze over, and some people sharing their experiences.
And how could I resist photographing the thin line of white on everything right outside my window.

Nope, no snow in Birmingham yet.
Our garden was covered!
Bloody underground!
Yay! Yay! My fist snowfall ever! :D
Its looks gorgeous and eerily so.
