More comedy for the day. All ye Lady Leaders, take note.
The question is can women be good leaders. My answer is no. The reason is not that simple because it has a lot of do with how women and men are so different when it comes to emotions and feelings. I have been around and worked with 4 directors in one committee this past week. The project is simple. However each one thinks the other is not doing a good job. Instead of concentrating on the problem in front of them, the ladies concentrate on bad mouthing each other and finding fault in each others leadership skills. On top of all this there is jealousy, hurt feelings, hormones and yes that insecurity which most carry with them playing minor and major roles in the decision making. This leads to no decision making, bad feelings and ultimate frustration to the project and the team. Ask any woman is it good to work among many women and the answer will be a solid “no”.
Even on the days I don’t look for wtf material, it automagically appears in my browser. Sigh! Someone bring that damn wall closer so I can bang my non-leadershippy head on it.

This one IS a gem. I want more please!
Although most of what you say is true (having to deal with the hormones and the pettiness) can be hell, it is quite a generalization if you ask me. I’ve seen cases where the man is not doing any better as far as the hormones and spends 3/4 of the day chasing skirts instead of being a contributing part of their work force. Then again, saying that ALL men are like that would be quite a generalization.
