In which this blog turns two

Bloggie Birthday. Been two years since Within / Without was first abused with a post. What started as a whining corner at work, has become the one repository of all angst, weirdness, poetry, laughter and links. I don’t want to reflect too much on what I’ve done in two years. Living alone in Hyderabad, I wanted to pour myself onto something. I did so.

I continue to do it. I am extremely embarrassed about many of my words and ideas. I don’t care much for some of the precociousness. But, in some of my previous posts, I see sometimes that rare glimpse of promise that one appears to hold as a younger person. That promise maybe imaginary, and may have been made never for the sake of keeping. Even then, the swell of self and moment – in that moment is enough to keep the archives alive. The promises and foolishness. They both make a blog.

You – kind reader, have made blogging, thinking and wasting spending time online so much more rewarding.

Bloggie birthday, indeed. I don’t need to say much, specially at this hour. However, I have realised, of late, that one is not as ancient as one likes to imagine one to be. So, we are all still young. Or, at least, let us assume so. I also want to quote this great quote – “Nothing is as simple as it looks in the beginning, as hopeless as it looks in the middle, and as complete as it looks in the end.” Have really enjoyed some of your poems and the “kadai/kathai/kadhai/ka*”s. Go on.
