Go put vote no

When IndiaGram went active, I liked the idea but somehow didn’t get a sense of the community there. Ditto with IndianPad. For some reason I just never took to it. (On an average I take fifteen seconds or less to decide if I like something – so me liking something is not really indicative of anything!) At DesiPundit, we often had discussions on the Digg format, and how it would suit us, but decided that there was space for a bunch of quirky people arbitrarily selecting links as well.

Enter PutVote.com.

Love it. It obviously isn’t old, and yet I can see how it fits into “avar scheme”. Both IndiaGram and PutVote are desi, but the former in a very colour and fonts way – whereas the latter tickles you with its language. Or maybe it’s because it’s by people who are visible in the Indian blogosphere. For the record – I hate the word Blogosphere – makes it sound like a bulging round thing. But I predict this one will have a longer run than the others.

Besides I really like the tagline – “You putting vote, Computer selecting!”

You know, one of the reason’s why I hate the term desi-blogosphere is that it reminds me too much of meself.

Thanks sir*, for the plug. We shall, very sincerely, and honestly, and with the blessings of all and sundry, if given the chance, hope to keep up your esteemed self’s opinion.

(As I’ve remarked earlier – Sir is the new dude. And is gender neutral and, I might add so, very cleverly adapting English to suit my tastes)
