    Yo, N,

You didn’t think there’s something creepy about this endeavor? “Infant bereavement photography?” How could that even become a tagline, a niche? Even their website is so crass…starting from that stereotypical soft-lit “glamour” mugshot of the founder.

Call me cynical, but to me it looks this is yet another example of America’s obsession with souvenirs, mementos and heirlooms. What next, picture of a dead baby on a coffee mug and a t-shirt?

  2. km: Ofcourse I find it creepy. But who am I to judge how people deal with a grief that I cannot understand? Some people keep a child’s lock of hair – thumb print – a cloth the child wore – perhaps parents look for something they can relate to?

America is fixated with souvenirs – yup. There you hit it.

But how do you remember a loved one that you never had the chance to know? Creepy yes – but somewhere it fits in no?

You are right – we must not judge how someone chooses to deal with their grief.
