So how is Yahoo 360 anyway?
While us lesser mortals are waiting to be invited to the public beta testing, it looks like err.. the movers and shakers have had a look at it. An interesting review by Danah Boyd makes me look forward to this. Does it mean finally, there is a semblance of integration. But another interesting take at this is, do all of us actually want all these services in an integrated format. Are we online as individuals with our fingers in all pies?
So while Yahoo 360 is a great idea, and I know that proponents of social software are going to get very excited about this, I think it might help a bit to remember that a part of the pleasure of being online is the ability to be fragmented. (Possible that this makes no sense. Another post to explain what I mean. )
Meanwhile. It does sound bloody interesting doesn’t it?
